Most known from being the manager of the Sex Pistols, MM is frequently called “the godfather of Punk”. He was Vivienne Westwood lover and partner in crime. They run a shop in the 60´s called “Let it rock” and from the items description “suede brothel creepers, soft porn t-shirts and dog collars” sounds like the very actual Camden. The man was also a proud-pervert, he is responsible for the célèbre rock´n´roll reconstruction of Manet´s Le Dejeuner sur L´Herbe (featuring a naked 14 y. old girl) and he even wanted to publish chicken an under-age sex magazine.
MM, Vivien, The Sex Pistols and many others, made a great progress when starting to move far away from the 60´s “bovine” hippy kinda of stressful peace and love movement and getting closer to 60´s of the Paris 68, trashy London or Druggy leather Berlin. After more than 40 yrs Punk never died thought the eyes of Vivien and irreverent loyals and royals. I can only applaud making haute couture out of street wear and “trash” look like fur, you´re not good you´re genius.
