RUNNING UP THAT HILL

I remember being a teen gal, dressed in city jeans and all stars, singing Kate Bush along with my cousin. Aninha had a sort of Karaoke machine with some random songs on a CD. One song was “iiii iiiii ohhh iii ohhhh iiii oohhh ahhhh so closeeeee let me out of the window oh oh oh” or something like that. We loved it and wanted to sing the song like Kate Bush does. To have a hyper strident voice was our ultimate goal.

Well, as for Kate Bush carrier and women we know she was, and is, one of the greatest Uk female pop artists -She was the first female solo artist to have a no1 in the uk charts “Babooshka”. But she did more than that, I believe she introduced the country cow ( slash )mysterious metaphysic witch (slash) curly fairy from a children’s book (slash) annoying-beauty voice in pop music. She opened doors to Joanne NewsonS or Alison GoldfrappS type of artists.She is definitely deep and not flimsy and that is very hard to find or work on. You have it or you don´t. she has it.
