I was asked to talk about clothes and music. Well that is one of the topics I am dying to write about. Yesterday, I saw this great heavy metal couple around Ribeira and I deeply regretted not having my camera with me ... anyway... I will see them again after all this is Porto not Mexico city.
In the meantime, I came across 4 non blonde, one hit wonder. I was at "fuckedinparkslope" when I saw the videoclip “what´s up”. Well I immediately start thinking if her style would be wearable again and then I realized I didn´t remember if it ever really was. Don´t remember seeing big hats with weirdos sunglasses or big coats with sorts. No. Let´s just forget about that.
What I did see was at minute 0:22, 0:46, 2:10 a very cool kid skating. He is ON, the Manhattan skyline helps to set the mood but is undeniable that this persona could have been one of the many hipsters around town.
I am gonna try to watch as many 90´s videoclips to help you chose clothes in the morning.

Indeed!I never saw anyone dressed like that! That song reminds me the prep school when kids just start kissing!
ReplyDeleteBut maybe that's the holy grail of style - when nobody else can wear those clothes except you; because no one else would be able to pull "that look"! After all, style is about individuality. It's about YOU making IT wearable.
